Assisting Justices of the Peace in performing their judicial duties

About the Scottish Justices Association

The Scottish Justices Association was formed in May 2007 and has around 200 members who are Justices of the Peace In Scotland.  The remit of the organisation is to represent Justices across Scotland through consultations, committees and any other communications.

Scotland is divided into six Sheriffdoms. These are Glasgow and Strathkelvin, South Strathclyde, Dumfries and Galloway, Tayside, Central and Fife, Grampian, Highland and Islands, Lothian and Borders and finally North Strathclyde. Three representatives are elected from each of the sheriffdoms to form the Executive Committee of the Scottish Justices Association.
