SJA Executive Meeting 14 February
The SJA Executive committee met on 14 February 2008. The arrangements for the first Annual General Meeting of the Association (in Perth on Saturday 25 October 2008) were agreed and consideration was given on the constitution to be adopted at that meeting.
The sheriffdom representatives undertook to arrange meetings of SJA members in their areas in the next few months and a budget for such meetings was agreed.
The nomination of Andrew Leven as a member of the executive for Glasgow and Strathkelvin was welcomed and agreed.
Responses to consultations on Community penalties, Civil Courts Review and Evidence were agreed and these will be submitted shortly.
The proposals for creation of the new SJA web site were considered and a web developer appointed.
The next meeting is on Wednesday 16th April 2008 in Edinburgh.
