The Executive Committee met on 2nd September 2010 in Edinburgh. The committee considered reports from the Justices Development, Communications and Policy & Legislation committees and from representatives attending other meetings.
Gerald Bonnar, Head of the Criminal Procedure Policy Unit within the Justice Directorate of the Scottish Government addressed the committee explaining the organisation within the Justice Directorate and was made aware of various issues of interest to Justices.
The next meetings of the SJA executive has been scheduled for 30 October ( a short meeting to elect the office-bearers) and 11 November 2010.
